RAF Halton has supported Scouting for many years. The original RAF Halton Scout Group met on the old RAF hospital site and was open to children from RAF Halton and the surrounding area. The Scout Group started in 16 April 1929 and closed in 2002, mainly because of the very low numbers and the hospital and associated building were being demolished to make way for a housing estate.
With the increasing number of requests for places in Scouting and thanks to the support of RAF Halton we re-established the group in 2012 and opened with 24 Beavers. We have continued development and now have strong Cub and Scout sections as well. Currently we have 60 young people across the 3 sections and a dedicated leader team who create exciting Scouting that really does make a difference to them in their early days of their journey through life.
If you would like to be part of this dynamic Group or more information on Scouting please contact me on 07738291755 and help us to continue offer great development opportunities to all our young people.
