1st Halton (RAF) Beavers established in 2012 and has developed into a highly successful colony with 24 children boys and girls. The colony sits within the Vale of Aylesbury District. Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouting family usually joining between 6-8 years. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.
The colony meets every Friday evening 5.30-7.00pm term time. The colony meets both at our site and we have occasional offsite visits for night hikes, weekend activities and overnight stays. Some activities are held with other colonies within the District which is an opportunity to find out what other Beavers are getting up to.
We usually suggest that Beavers come along to some meetings before they join us so they can decide if Beavers is for them. If you are new to the area and your child is already invested from another area your child can gain automatic entry however please contact us for further information.
